Welcoming our New Gentleman’s Guide Director

We celebrate Mother's Day by welcoming Winnipeg based Erin McGrath as our new director of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder.

Erin McGrath has recently stepped into the role of Artistic Director for Winnipeg Studio Theatre. She is also a director, actor, and educator. A graduate of the Randolph College for the Performing Arts she has directed and performed in major regional theatres across the country. Originally from New Brunswick, Erin relocated to Winnipeg in 2005. She has played on all the Winnipeg professional stages. Selections include Ubuntu: The Cape Town Project (PTE), The Penelopiad (MTC), Angels In America: Perestroika (WJT), Age of Arousal (TPM), Buddy Holly (Rainbow Stage), Sunday In The Park With George (Gallery Works), and Bridges of Madison County (Dry Cold). Musical Theatre is where her performance training was focused and she has had the privilege to perform across the country in productions such as Fiddler on the Roof (Chemainus Theatre Festival), Seussical, My Fair Lady (Western Canada Theatre), and Still Desire You (Alberta Theatre Projects). She is honoured to work with this exquisite cast and company on A Gentleman’s Guide to Love And Murder as Dry Cold returns to the stage!

Our former director Jovanni Sy stepped aside when, after a North American wide search, he was cast in the lead role of Mr. Miyagi in the new Broadway Bound Musical The Karate Kid. Bravo Jovanni!

We are thrilled to have Erin at the helm of our Manitoba Premiere of this wonderful Tony Award winning show.
